Meet the team
A Mersea edition was launched in April, and the Maldon and Tiptree editions make up the two Newsround titles now being published. The concept of the Newsround is to produce a high quality full colour magazine each month, to be delivered to your door, and available through many village outlets free of charge, in a handy A4 size format, packed with interesting features, events and local news.
Advertising is important to us because it offers services to our readers. However it is our aim to make sure that it does not become an advertising free-sheet full of just adverts with no nteraction with the community like some of the magazines which we see delivered through our doors each month. We welcome your opinions, your views, and news of forthcoming events from individuals, clubs or societies to keep our community informed.

BRIAN MANN Brian has worked in the media for the past twenty years. Having had vast experience as a Broadcaster on BBC Local Radio and as a News collator. Brian has had associations with Mersea for the past sixteen years. It was after being made redundant and following the liquidation of another publishing company, that Brian saw the need for a quality local magazine, which would incorporate a balanced mix of local news, features and advertising. Brian and former colleague Denise joined forces to form the partnership of Mersea Publications Ltd |

DENISE LEWIS Following a long career in travel and sales, Denise joined a local magazine and publishing company. She then joined Brian, to form the partnership of Mersea Publications. An Mersea islander for thirty two years, she has many associations with island life and its local community through her family and friends. |

SARAH DANIEL Designer Sarah brings her highly professional and innovative skills to the Newsround. She has an impressive background having worked as a designer and Art Editor on many national consumer magazines for the past 13 years. Advertisers will be delighted to know that Sarah will be more than happy to design your advert (copyright applies). |

Alison Alison is the latest recruit to the Newsround family. She has worked in a sales environment over the past ten years, specialising in Property lettings and sales. Born in Coggeshall, having lived in the Newsround publishing areas all her life, is very familiar with the area and looking forward to discussing and helping with your advertising requirements. |
